3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Served on a firkin. An unclear dark orange beer with no head - only a rim. The aroma is very hoppy and grassy, and the flavor is fruity to start out with, before a long good bitter and dry end sets in. I find it sticky in the mouth and hence not easily drinkable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Malty and lightly floral aroma.
Crystal clear straw-colored beer.
Perfectly balanced with lively carbonation.
Very good beer. Hopheads will be disappointed as this is not a hugely hopped/bitter American (SHOCK THE PALATE)I.P.A.!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: DEC 7, 2007 The first time I had this I think it was GABF 2003, in order to secure Maryland as a state. I rated it a 4.1, but I can now update this rating: Spicey with fruit and sugar hop aromas. Very thick, sugary and sweet. Acidic and sandpaper on the tongue.
With this: Wet, soggy cardboard, a hint of hop oil and vegetable stew, and some damp, almost beery flavors, with a messy, soggy, moldy finish. I know that sounds like itís awful but itís not so bad - garners a 3.3.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On cask at Franklins, Hyattsville on 14 July 2006. Hazy orange colour - a bit murky. Some aromatic hops on the nose but not very vibrant. Sharp apple flavour. A little sour / acetic. You can tell thereís a decent beer lurking here but Iím afraid the cask condition was not too good. Seemed past it to me.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a transparent copper bronze with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Aroma has a nice, mild English hoppiness and some toasty, grainy notes. Starts fairly full with some mild soapiness and bittersweetness toward the finish. A decent British-styled IPA.
