Pours a clear bronze orange with a thin ring of white bubbles. Has a fresh assertive grapefruity hop nose with light caramel malty sweet notes. Starts with good fullness and sweet lightly toasted pale malts with a juicy resiny hop flavor and bitterness for balance before a citrusy bittersweet finish. A very nice double ipa, it just could’ve used a little more head.

Draft on 07/18/10. Came to the table a slightly hazy copper color with a skim of a tan head. A moderately pungent aroma of grapefruits, pine, caramel, and some biscuitiness. Medium-bodied. The flavor starts with a decent amount of caramel and a biscuity maltiness. Lots of grapefruits follow. Kinda resiny at the end. A touch of warming alcohol underneath it all. Quite tasty.
