COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Second in our Game of Thrones trilogy of beers, The Dragon Queen is our take on a Belgian Strong Golden. Don’t be fooled by its timid appearance, beneath the white head and golden body lays a strong, complex and warming beer. Try it, your innocence will soon fade and you will become one of her many minions.

Bottle from the source. Clear golden color, medium white head. Aroma of straw and light citrus, hint of pepper. Taste is sweet straw and hay. OK.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear, deep gold with one ring of white head. Nose is fairly simple, sweet candy sugar, some light spice, malt, candied citrus peel. Flavor is the same, candy sugar, lightly spicy, some tropical fruit. Sticky finish. Again, decent.

Draft. Crystal clear apple juice body, small white head. Aroma is sweet, candi sugar, some orange, light Belgian yeast spicy. Taste is moderately sweet, orange, candi sugar, light seltzer. Medium-full body, low carbonation, light sticky, some wateriness.

lamas (1362) - Washington DC, USA - FEB 16, 2013
Draft. Served in a tulip glass. Came to the table a brassy golden amber color with a skim of a beige head. The aroma featured plenty of candi sugar, cotton candy, bubblegum, bananas, some light cloves, caramel, and touches of lemon. Went down medium-bodied. There were no real surprises taste-wise - candi sugar, bubblegum, caramel, and some bananas were present upfront. There was a subtly crisp and biscuity middle with a hint of vanilla. The slightly dry finish featured just a bit of lemon. Not bad at all.
