COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first in our Game of Thrones trilogy of beers, the Half Man is our take on a Belgian Enkel (single ale). A session ale whose character is much more complex than its stature as its mild appearance does not equate to the sinisterly rich malt flavor that plots within.

Draft. Cloudy amber body with medium off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, Belgian yeast spiciness, some bread, caramel, light toffee. Taste is moderately sweet, bread, some Belgian yeast spiciness, caramel, cantaloupe. Light-medium body -- no thinness despite the low ABV -- and very drinkable.

16oz pint at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy, purpley brown with some creamy, eggshell head. Nose is inviting and approachable, lightly nutty, light toasted bread, light malt, crackers, bread, some fruit, melon. Flavor is the same, bread crust, crackers, plum, melon. Light, dry, crisp finish. Very nice session beer.

lamas (1347) - Washington DC, USA - JAN 13, 2013
Draft on 01/11/13. Came to the table a reddish mahogany color with a skim of a beige head. The subtle aroma primarily featured some light touches of caramel, toffee, toasted grains, a little coffee, and the slightest hint of a citrusy tanginess way off in the background. Went down fairly thin-bodied. Caramel and toffee started things off taste-wise. There was a sizable biscuity dryness in the middle. The finish was crisp and only slightly bitter. Very sessionable, but the lack of alcohol presence really hurt the depth of this one.
