2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This beer has a orange body - hue apperance and a coarse white scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and it had not much carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is moutig with light moutig afther tast .

Like the “standard” Hefe-Weissbier, I sampled the 0.5L bottled variety, which pours hazy light brown in color and with a huge off-white head that left some decent lacing. Like its sibling, the subtle aroma points to light citrus, floral and overripe banana. The initial palate is refreshingly zesty, but departs from its counterpart with the presence of a lightly caramel sweetness. Still the expected lemony, orange, banana and clove spiciness develops by mid-palate. The carbonation level is superb--crisp and refreshing--but not overdone. The finish, too, is strong and, again, pleasingly refreshing. Like the Hefe-Weissbier , I’m rating this beer high, but just a notch lower.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is a very nice array of banana mush and banana bread laced with tangy mango, slight caramel, spritzed with lemon, and the perfect amount of typical clove hefe yeast spice.
Beatifully clouded dark leather brown color with a miraculously tall cap of finely whipped tannish cream that creeps and murks its way down to a hefty skim. Laces in one big drippy sheet.
Taste is a lightly softened tangy and smoothly clean delight of lemony bananas mixed over a pretty solid caramel malt backing. All the while maintains a more dryish malt character and softer clove spice underneath the sweet tang and fruits which floats through consistently right on to the finish where it stays dry and kinda dullish with a pale tang undertow of lemon meringue and a ghostly chocolate roast.
Feel is quite clean with a boastful little shot of carbonation within a semi-soft, steardy, smoothened, creamy medium body. Softly tangy and fruity while dryish over the top and not overly spiced with too much clove; which I like. Mends into an earthy dryish tang in the finish.
This grew on me by leaps and bounds as I continued to enjoy it more and more after each sip. The softer smooth body is more to my liking compared to most weizen type brews. Quite smooth and nealry chewy with the perfect tang and spice. A solid dunkel.

had never seen this bottle before, had to give it a try. aroma was yeasty, with typical hefe aromas (banana/clove/etc). big tan head, with medium brown color. flavor is sweet and.....sweet. a little banana in the flavor as well. kinda unimpressive as dunkels go, especially since i like most other spaten offerings quite a bit.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
1 pint 0.9 fl oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy light brown with thick light-tan head. Some effervescence. Aroma is of light roasty chocolatey malts along with the yeasty combination of sweet and sour fruits. Cherries are present in the nose. Taste has a nice balance to it. Starts with some solid malty sweetness and finishes with some tangy yeasty fruitiness. Medium body. Smooth yet crisp. Nice beer.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
[on tap at Sunset Grill and Tap] Cloudy medium brown colour with nice, white, foamy blanket that’s clingy and patchy. Clovey, lemony aroma with not too much else. Musty and clovey taste with citrusy, lemonade aftertaste that’s refreshing and not unpleasant. Some barely perceptible bittering and a weak caramel note. Light to medium body with a clean, crisp finish. I’ve had this beer from a bottle and liked it much more--may have to re-rate.

A marriage made in Beer Heaven. The union of Dunkel and Hefe-Weisse bring forth an offspring so pure and good it should be Sainted immediately. Good, good, and good.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cloudy copper colored beer with a nice creamy head. Pleasant yeasty, malty aroma. Nice smooth flavor, a little light in body but very refreshing. Flavors are less pronounced than some dunkels I have had, but good nonetheless. Slightly tart lemony finish. Pretty good, but not a standout.
