2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A murky, swampy-looking brown beer, with barely a head at all. Coriander abounds, but the flavor is lacking in originality or even wheatiness. Smells like a light molasses. The finish is dry, but unbalanced.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
High carbonation, huge head that disappears quickly, cloudy rust color - very yeasty aroma - thin bodied, mild flavor, watery, even - cloves dominate what flavor there is - finish is almost non-existant - easy drinking, but who cares?

Banana esters with a chocolatey background to it. Apple cider brown with some cloudiness. Nice brown head and some lacing. A thicker flavor and very smooth. I really enjoyed this one!

The head on this one exploded when I first poured it. Almost went over the top. Very nice. It has a murky brown color to it. Smells like yeast, tastes like yeast. It has a slight chocolate flavor as well. All-in-all not a bad beer. Not something I would search for, however.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Brown colour with a nice dense tan head. Strong aroma of corn, yeast and wheat. Medium-bodied; Flavour full of yeast, wheat and offensive corn. Aftertaste filled with malty tastes. Not a great beer, actually worse than average. Overall, this beer is worth passing up! I had this 23 ounce beer on draught at MacGregor's in Rochester, New York on 14-October-2003.

First off, I'm not the biggest fan of dunkels. This was a pretty good beer, however. It had a great look- fluffy, white head sitting on a cloudy dark brown body. Smells yeasty like gulden draak. Light, sparkly carbonation. Tasted like your average dunkel, however a distinct twist of lemon and nutmeg hit me at the finish.

One of the best Dunkel Weizens I've had. Chestnut brown and cloudy from sediment. Huge rocky head looking like the Swiss Alps. Big roasted malt aroma with significant clove and a bit of caramel. Smooth and full bodied with a slight crispness. Nice big spicy wheat flavor that is good till the very end. Great brewery and probably my favorite in Deutschland.
