Bottle (50 cl) from Toom Getränkemarkt, Würzburg, Germany. Murky copper, medium off-white head. Nutty and caramelly aroma with dark fruits, and bananas. Moussy mouthfeel. A bit sweet.

Pours cloudy brown with a thin, tan head, although I recall the head being thicker when I tried some this unpasteurized in Munich (aka München). Aroma of spices, wheat, and bananas--reminds me of home baked banana bread. Spicy, smoky flavor with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Again, the flavor of the bottled version exported to America is blander than that you can get in Munich. Still... Es ist ein wunderbares Dunkelweißbier!

Pours hazy brown with a big off white head. Aroma is yeasty and spicey. Taste is wheat, dark malt, and some spicey banana notes. I like it.

Not as enjoyable as the standard hefe. Translucent cloudy brown pour with amber highlights and offwhite head. Nose is malty and wheaty. Some phenolic dry banana and stale clove come out in the flavor.

(Bottle) Dark brown. Hazy. Medium sized white rather quickly disappearing head. Banan and malts in nose. Full bodied palate with lot of carbonation. Banana, raisin, bitterness and caramell in taste. Bitter and caramell flavoured aftertaste.
