Aug 31, 2008 Pours nice Medium brown, with 3 finger beige head. Can taste yeast some smokey flavor to it. Cloudy appearance some lacing on glass. Very smooth and creamy feel. One of my new favorites!

Aug 28, 2008 Bottle poured to glass. Pours brown with a rich white head. Heavy aroma of wheat and yeast. Smooth full flavored wheat beer with a long creamy mouthfeel. The smokey flavor really opens up when the brew is swallowed.

Aug 24, 2008 Cloudy brown with yeasty ripe banana and spice aroma. Moderately sweet with the perfect level of carbonation. One of my favorite Dunkelweizens.

Aug 22, 2008 Brown beer with big slightly beige head. Wheats and bananas are foud in the slightly sweet aroma. Flavour is quite sweet, and there are found bananas, hint of roastiness and some spicyness. Quite light to drink with lot of biting carbonation. Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier Dunkel is good beer but it would need some provement for every section to be rising up to the top.

Aug 21, 2008 Excellent dark malt and nutty flavor mixes well with the banana and clove flavors. Almost like banana bread with nutella(I know that sounds weird, but it’s what I wrote down while tasting.)

Aug 20, 2008 essa Dunkelweizen alemã tem o aroma característico de banana das cervejas de trigo; fora isso, traços de caramelo também pode ser farejados. Nada muito diversificado, mas os poucos aromas satisfazem o olfato (6/10). A aparência inicial também não apresenta nada de outro mundo (3/5), com espuma inicial média, coloração marrom-claro, moderada formação de colarinho, curta longevidade da espuma, claridade lodosa do corpo (eu diria que é seu traço mais marcante), que apresenta partículas de tamanho médio (sedimentos e corpo de fundo) e coloração marrom acobreado.
No nobre campo do sabor, permanece o mormaço dos sentidos (4/10). O sabor inicial é levemente adocicado e ácido, sensação que se mantém até o final, de média duração. O paladar conta com corpo médio-leve, textura aguada, carbonatação borbulhante e final de sensação ligeiramente ácida (2/5). O trigo parece dar seu ar da graça apenas no final do gole, quando fica mais pronunciado.
Em termos gerais, o exemplar que degustei parecia uma Lager escura, sem muita personalidade.
