Commercial Description:
Deep and dark colored, cloudy with yeast. Brewed with a darker roasted malt which adds some maltiness to the refreshing flavour of the Hefe-Weissbier.

50cL bottle courtesy of Naka. Pours a dark copper color with a thick, two-finger, foamy head that dissipates rather quickly. Moderate lacing. Nose is sweet, with banana and spicy clove, some bready notes with a slight roast hint. Taste is lots of malt, sweet with mild roast. Lots of banana notes with clove spice, just like a DW should be. This is really tasty. I’m a big fan of Dunkelweizens, and this one is spot on. All of the characters that I’d expect. Good stuff.

From the bottle, pours a very dark reddish, with a decently foamy off-white head. Very nice aroma of banana, some dark malt, some chocolate. Great taste too, bananas and chocolate, just the right bit of malty and enough carbonation to keep it from being too thick. Really good beer.

Pours heady and slightly cloudy, aroma of hefe yeast, tastes of hefe yeast with a bit of wheat character, not as malty as I expected, a lot like a helles wheat beer but darker in color without the roasted malt flavor.

50cl bottle from ABC Liquors North Tampa. Pours a cloudy amber color with a thin white head that laces the glass. Aroma: Sweet and malty, caramel, sticky, doughy scents that are pleasant to the nose. Lively carbonation with sweet flavors and malted barley throughout, some tastes of banana, slightly watery with a dry finish. Overall, nice wheat ale.

A- Dark hazlenut in color this brew has a nice 2 1/2 finger pillowy head that is off white in color. S- Smell is of indistinct dark fruits and sweetness. Not too pungent, but not necessarily bad smelling so i’ll give it the benefit of the doubt. T- Tastes very brown ale-esque with a hint of banana. M- Mouthfeel is thick with just enough carbonation to make this an easy drinker. D- Fairly drinkable. Leaves a sticky sweet coating in my mouth that I don’t like so much but other than that I could drink a few on a hot summer day.

Nice brown color, small head. Phenolic and spicey aroma of banana. The taste is smooth, some roasted and caramell malt, light citrus flavour, little overcarbonation. I expected more.

Draft at YardHouse in Irvine. Banana and wheat twang first thing on the nose from this murky brownish yellow pour. Decent head too. Some spice on the nose as well. Similar flavors with more wheat twang than before. Not too bad.

Wonderful banana bread, wheat, light fruit, and slightly estery aroma. Light amber appearance, quite clear for a weissbier. Suprisingly complex caracter in flavor. Featuring bread, malt, banana, slight circus peanut, just a hint of candied fruit on the finiish, light spicyness, highlights of malt, and yeast. Wonderful mouthfeel, quite lively yet a nice body to this bier, not thin. Overall just about as good a thirst quenching bier as one could have. Well made.
