Bottle. Hazy brown body. Frothy, off-white head, lasting. Aroma of toasted bread, caramel with notes of banana and clove. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Overly sweet, but the sweetness is tempered by acidic tartness in the finish. Taste of caramel and bread with some hints of English ESB characteristics. Or maybe that was my imagination. Sweet and not overly refined, and I should not have enjoyed it as much as I did. But I did.

de color ámbar oscuro, tiene cierta turbidez. Media intensidad aromática, con recuerdos a caramelo, cereales solubles y plátano algo sobre madurado. En boca bastante fresca, algo picante, amargo comedido que recuerda al cereal tostado.

Bottle from Eroski, Pollenca; I was on holiday so I’m buggered if I can remember the detail, however I do recall that it was as tight and well defined as the standard Franziskaner hefe, but with a sort of dark fruit (cherry / strawberry) twist; needless to say it totally hit the spot.
