Aug 17, 2009 Bottle poured into a Sam Adams Sensory Glass produced an off-white head with beautiful light amber body. Sweet and delicious, definitely one of my favorites and highly recommended wheat beer.

Aug 14, 2009 My rating #700 came randomly during my holidays in Alps, just as I found this beer completely accidentally in Defreggerhaus mountain hut, during our climb to Grossvenediger. Always before I’ve chosen something special for the milestone ratings, but is there any better thing than try this famous beer at the altitude of 3000 meters.
Anyway, had it on 4th Aug, from a 0.5 l bottle which poured murky reddish brown body with big brownish head. Fine aroma of some caramel, bubblegum and other typical weizen scents. A touch of rotten vegetables though. Flavor is sweetish, fruity and caramelly with a touch of some sourish thing. Won’t say veggies, but not too far from that. Medium bodied. Pleasant and long finish helps the final image of the beer is somewhat better. Well, it’s pretty good beer for sure, but I’ve somehow expected more.

Jul 30, 2009 500 ml bottle. Notes are unreadable, but a quick analysis. Drinked long time ago and tasted much better then than now. I could hav esworn that this is the best beer. Well, It’s not. Something has changed. Is it me or the beer.

Jul 27, 2009 (bottle at Old Chicago Downtown in Colorado Springs). Pours a cloudy amber color. Medium off white head. Wheat aroma. Sweet wheat taste. Thin texture. Moderate carbonation.

Jul 27, 2009 Pours a dark copper with a fluffy white head. Aroma is lager yeast and some fruity esters. Flavor is malt, some banana and other fruit, and a little wheat. The wheat really takes a back seat in this brew that tastes like a malty lager. Pretty nice.

Jul 24, 2009 Draft. Dark brown/hazy with thick head. Nice malty aroma, some banana, caramel, flavor of candied sugar and wheat. Caramel. Good beer.
