Bottle. Deep red-brown with short-lived sea-foam head. Aromas of roasted malt, root veggies. Perhaps a touch overcarbonated and acidic. I got toffee, sour plum and spice over an earthy malt backbone.

Draught at Bavarian Bier Café, Broadbeach on 29/11/13. Poured a translucent mid-brown colour with a one-finger off white foamy head that diminished quickly and laced poorly with a few spots. Moderate to high carbonation with lots of small to medium sized bubbles forming trails. Aroma of spices, cloves and fruit (?peach). Taste almost immediately with each sip the cloves dominated from the first to last sip. Light body. Smooth, light, sweet with along clove dominated finish. Once you get used to it it’s a nice beer.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Slight aromas of Hefe-Weissbier and faint hints of caramel. Cloudy brown, head dissapears almost immediately. Taste fruits, wheat and caramel, also some sourness and watery taste in the background. Medium carbonation. Overall: a little bit dissapointing considering how great regular Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier is.

500 ml bottle poured into a Weihenstephaner glass. Pours a hazy dark brown with a big, velvety head of beige foam. Thick sheets of lacing. There are also some clumps of yeast sitting on the bottom of the glass. The aroma is yeasty with some nutmeg and banana coming through. I get a lot of sweetness in the taste. Notes of bubblegum. Some spice. A little chewing brings out some caramel notes. Medium to light body. Aftertaste is sweet and just a little spicy. Fairly light beer overall. I was expecting a little more body and depth.

Bottled by Dohni, many thanks! Roasted malt and weizen malt aroma. Too much carbonation for me but I guess it is supposed to be due to conversation. Overall tasty, not extraordinary, but tasty for a dunkel weizen.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours a cloudy brown with a tan head. Taste sweet malt, banana, Carmel. I thought this was very good. I would definitely drink this again.
