drewbeerme (2223), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 3, 2007 bottle. pours hazy auburn with small white head. nose is very yeasty and bready, bananas and biscuit. flavor is bready, bananas, and yeasty with a biscuity finish. mouthfeel is watery but palate is long, a pretty solid dunkelweizen. sneezey (110), Hackettstown, New Jersey, USA Sep 2, 2007 I like this even better than the regular helles - typical Bavarian weiss cloudy with a nice yeasty head to it. Even nicer spicier taste - cloves, bit of banana, etc. Some might consider the taste a bit odd for a beer, but give it a chance. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Updated: Jan 17, 2009

kkearn (995), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 31, 2007 Draft@ Fox and Hound, Philly. Murky brown body, capped with a tall, frothy off-white head that filled the hefe glass. Aroma of wheat, malt, orange, and spice. Wheat flavor with some malt, orange, banana, and spice. Really nice dunkel weisse; very refreshing. badlizard (2326), Berkeley, California, USA Aug 28, 2007 500 ml bottle from Bevmo. Copper brown with a fizzy white head. Sweet wheat bread aroma. Slightly sweet banana bread taste, refreshing. bonbright7 (173), Bellport, New York, USA Aug 24, 2007 I poured this into my 50cl glass to reveal a brown-dark red ale that had a good head o top and a wavy skirt of bubbles below. The first taste had a roundness to it that just rolled off my tongue and the caramel elements were up front. This was pretty good and on tap should be better. llcooldave (309), San Antonio, Texas, USA Aug 24, 2007 Poured a cloudy brown with a large head. Detected a spicy sweet aroma like the scents you would smell during Christmas. Flavor is yeasty with an aftertaste of gingerbread. As it warmed it developed a bananas and brown sugar flavor. Totally awesome! Overall, this beer is great but better consumed during fall/winter seasons.
