Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark Mar 18, 2007 Bottle. Head was large frothy white and was mostly lasting. Good lacing in glass. Body was light cloudy with partials in flow. Color was golden brown. Aroma was wheat, citrus, clove, coriander, banana, caramel. For some reason I felt that some of the malty notes were kind of missing from this Dunkelweizen Light to medium bodied and an average carbonation. Light sweet finish. Dirty fruit aroma. Dry bland with a slight bannana but not enough. Very lightly spiced flavor. Wouldn’t get this again. rmussman (905), California, USA Mar 2, 2007 Sampled last weekend. Compared to the regular Franziskaner, taste is a lot more sweet. Aroma is similar but appearance is a lot darker brown than normal. Mouthfeel is smooth and consistant with the regular brew. Flavor is more sweet and a little more malty. A great brew but I would probably stick with the regular if I had my choice. EHSRanders (1121), Randers C, Denmark Feb 21, 2007 Bottle. malty aroma and a large off-white head. Nice fresh wheet flavor.
