jb (1024), Rochester, New York, USA Sep 27, 2006 Very enjoyable. Yeasty aroma. Very thick head on a murky orange-brown beer. Refreshing high carbonation spritzer-like taste. Spicy palate, cloves and nutmeg. maeib (4677), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Sep 22, 2006 Bottled - A hazy amber brown coloured beer with a large, lasting off-white head. The aroma is caramel, nuts, some banana and a little toffee. The taste is malty with a little nuttiness. Quite thin really and lacking substantial body but it’s refreshing enough. ilikestuff (222), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Sep 13, 2006 Updated: Aug 24, 2007Not bad for $2 on german beer tuesdays, definatley my #1 pick. Pours a nice dark amber with a sweet aroma that matches nicely with the smooth full sweet flavor and mouthfeel. This is an overall pretty good beer. bowhunter24 (8), Wisconsin, USA does not count Sep 13, 2006 The quintessential dark German wheat. You’re greeted by a sweet, bread-like aroma with a pleasant cloudy appearance. The wheat flavor is abundant without being overpowering with a sweet, borderline orgasmic finish. Without any doubt the finest dark weiss, if not the finest beer I have ever had the pleasure to experience. Wild4mild (37), USA Sep 12, 2006 Bottle. High quality weiss! Mahogony cloudy color with the usual banana and coriander nose. Off-white foamy head that lasts and lasts and lasts. Slightly sour with the addition of some nice malty caramel flavors.I consider this a perfect autumn beer. anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Sep 11, 2006 Bottle. Pours a murky brown colour with a longlasting off-white head. Roasted malty aroma with some hints of bananas and yeast. Sweet malty and slightly roasted flavor with some hints of bananas and yeast. Roasted malty finish with some bitterness. LyndaNova (492), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Sep 6, 2006 Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a cloudy brownish amber color with small ivory head. Aroma and taste are both mainly of roasted malt and yeast. Fizzy on the tongue. Crisp and smooth. Dry ending. HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Sep 2, 2006 Bottle (500ml). In my Erdinger Hefe glass. Murky brown-orange, large lasting foamy head - wow that looks great. Malty, fruity, spicy, yeasty aroma, sweet, very bready. Taste is all malt, yeast, plums and banana, lightly spicy - nice. Body’s a little soft, but nicely carbonated (light, just right), very quick finish, no aftertaste - very drinkable; oddly, I enjoyed it more than their regular hefe.
