HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Sep 2, 2006 Bottle (500ml). In my Erdinger Hefe glass. Murky brown-orange, large lasting foamy head - wow that looks great. Malty, fruity, spicy, yeasty aroma, sweet, very bready. Taste is all malt, yeast, plums and banana, lightly spicy - nice. Body’s a little soft, but nicely carbonated (light, just right), very quick finish, no aftertaste - very drinkable; oddly, I enjoyed it more than their regular hefe. starfireming (309), Richmond, Virginia, USA Sep 1, 2006 Cloudy opaque dark brown body, white head. Raisin aroma with malts. Thick mouthfeel, yeasty malty banana flavour. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA Sep 1, 2006 Cloudy brown body with a large creamy tan head. Sweet malty aroma, quite spicy. Sweet spicy flavor with some light malt and hints of banana. SSSteve (2049), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Aug 27, 2006 very cloudy caramel colored under a medium sized off-white head. banana and spice aroma. faint hint of roasted malt. more smooth and malty than the hefe but not very robust. Quillaraymi (88), USA Aug 26, 2006 Nice sweet flavor with a huge crown tha stills all the time, very good looking beer and not bad at all. TrevorFloyd (309), Connecticut, USA Aug 24, 2006 Bottle from the Liquor Depot in Avon. Pours a hazy amber-brown with a tall beige head. Flavor is mild, with a little hop tang behind the more prominent nutmeg, cherry, and other sweet malty notes. Enjoyable, would be better in the fall. BeerHeadBobby (142), In Hiding.., Florida, USA Aug 23, 2006 Poured a hazy brown with a decent head... Smells of bread and malts.. Taste is a slight sweetness.. with a clovey like finish .. typical of a German Weissbier.. Overall i like it better than the regular.. nice brew AmazonMatt (284), Panama Aug 22, 2006 Huge head that seemed to never go down, on a dark copper body. Strong malt flavors, the ones typical for Spaten beers. Fresh and good, but not exactly memorable. Too sweet for me, but I guess that is the style.
