sinte (88), udine, Italy Aug 1, 2006 Moderate-to-heavy malty aroma (toasted, caramel) with light yeasty notes; notes of banana.
Brown muddy body with a huge, light-brown rocky head; mostly lasting with a good lacing.
Flavour is moderately sweet and lightly acidic at the beginning; after a while a moderate bitter nte grows up giving a light liquorice note at the finsh.
Medium body with oily texture; average-to-lively carbonation; lifht astringent feeling in the finsh.
Satisfactory beer; bitter note in the finish is quite pleasent and makes it more thirst-quenching the other beers of this style, even if less "easy" than the "hells". radagast83 (1273), Fairfax, Virginia, USA Jul 27, 2006 Bottle. Easy drinker here... jedadiahcombs (41), Huntington, West Virginia, USA Jul 6, 2006 I’m usually not a wheat guy but lately I have been trying to branch out. This was one of the first wheats I enjoyed. Small aromas of yeast and wheat. Nice and crisp with some hop notes and call me crazy, but I got a bread pudding taste too. Either way crazy or not I’m glad to have found a wheat I enjoyed IPAndy (120), minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Jul 3, 2006 Little aroma of yeast and malt. I almost always give dunkel-weizens a 5 for appearance... I just think they look awesome in a weizen glass, and this one looks a little better than most. The flavor is wonderful- clove, yeast, bananas, apple/pear, bread. Excellent.
