unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Jul 3, 2006 Rich, deep, hazy copper color. MAlty aroma. Malt sweetness all through each sip. hint of wheat through out creating a wonderfully dry finish. this dunkel weiss was a treat. kimcgolf (825), Dacula, Georgia, USA Jun 30, 2006 Poured from a 22 oz. bottle to a hazy light-brown appearance with thick off-white head, that lingered through most of the glass. Good lacing. Aroma of malt, and a sweetness of candy. Flavor was mostly wheat, with clove and corriander spices becoming more evident at mi-glass. Palate was dry, and the only drawback to this beer was that it was also a little watery. All and all, a good beer. BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jun 27, 2006 Brown with a huge lasting tan head. Aroma is wheaty, caramel, clove, banana and some corriander. Malty flavour complimented with the clovey banana flavour makes this a banana bread like taste. Finishes slightly sweet. Strykzone (1459), Wood River, Illinois, USA Jun 25, 2006 This one was a nice looking beer. It had a nice big fluffy head and a pleasantly medium dark body. The flavor was similar to a hefe in that banana and clove are clearly present. But the dunkel style also comes through. This is a delightful combination. cantchangeit (35), Virginia, USA Jun 20, 2006 very very vevry clovey. that means it tastes like your drinking boiled cloves. with sugar. i dont like. looks good thick caramel head head lasts the whole way through. tastes like cloves elektrogeist (158), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jun 20, 2006 bottle: aroma of rotten wheat and caramel malts. deep red with a fluffy long-lasting head. flavor reflects the ’rotten wheat’ aroma described along with flavors of dark malt. all well balanced, with a nice aftertaste. definitely an acquired taste, but probably closest to a historically accurate dunkelweizen as one can get. i’m biased of course. i love this stuff. saxo (3516), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Jun 19, 2006 Bottle.
