Commercial Description:
Deep and dark colored, cloudy with yeast. Brewed with a darker roasted malt which adds some maltiness to the refreshing flavour of the Hefe-Weissbier.

A brown beer with a fine but short head. Salty smell and taste. Small and uninteresting palate. Too little bitters in this slightly sweet beer. Disappointing due to higher expectations.

I’m in a pinch with this one. I lived in Germany for a while and this beer was the best around. However, it doesn’t travel well. It doesn’t taste right after the journey to America. There is something wrong with the sediment in the American bottles. If I was rating a fresh bottle in Germany I’d give it better marks than I’ve given it for the imported bottles in the US.

Not as good as I thought this was going to be. Poured a cloudy copper color with a average off white head that mostly diminished. Aroma of bread and caramel. Flavor was mailny roasted malt with a slighty sour aftertaste. Fairly thin beer with some fizzy carbonation.

A really nice aroma of bread, banana and butter. Taste of banana, syrup, bread and yeast. Finish is sticky and dry, and is slightly reminiscent of rancid butter. I’ts probably due to the months in a locker this one has endured. I’m gonna rerate with a fresh specimen one of these days.

Pours mostly brown with a solid frothy head. Aroma of banana, caramel, champagne, and other fruits. Flavor is quite fruity, with more banana, apple, caramel spice, and nuttiness. Palate is OK, nothing special, but an above average brew.

brownish copper pour with a nice frothy offwhite head. vinious, some banana, clove, caramel sweetness in the nose. nice bready character, taste is somewhat like the aroma, tiny bit of roast in the malt, some light fruity nuttiness. finish is a little watery. Overall a great offering, pleasing
