| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 31, 2009 Copper brown pour with one finger beige froth. Aroma is caramel, ripe fruit, nectar, vinousness, and some brown sugar. Flavor is bready, biscuity caramel with lingering over ripe fruit sweetness. Clove and nutmeg are evident. Palate is a tad thin, quite carbonated, and thoroughly dry in the finish. Quite interesting. TheGent (148), , Massachusetts, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 30, 2009 First off it was a lot of head to navigate through. The smell was all yeast and malt. taste was mostly malt with a bit of nuttiness, like licking walnut shells. A decent beer but I should try some more from the style. harbuck76 (128), El Cajon, California, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 29, 2009 Poured 10% beer and 90% head - it just exploded in the glass. A nice light tan thick head remained the whole time and the lacing was decent enough. Amazing looking brew - brown/slight orange cloudy muck - reminded me of when my fat german friend A-bombed his colossal ass into a pristine pool 2km into a cave. Aroma is a bit weak and unique, but the yeast is very prominent, secondary are the cloves, stinky banana (maybe, but it’s something a bit unsettling) (weak) and maybe nuts, not that I’d know what nuts smell like... - smells slightly sweet, crisp and dry. Yeast is the first thing to hit the mouth and it’s fairly big. There’s a bit of dark malt in there. Sour. Sourness that sticks around behind the molars. Maybe a hint of bananas and dry and somewhat empty. Beer massages the tongue with its sour yeasty assault and leaves the mouth tingling. Found myself tasting but avoiding smelling it. Highly drinkable but mysterious at the same time - could be better, but I’ve never had a dunkel hefe-weisse before, so maybe I’m just unedumicated in the style. Archibaldo de la Cruz (399), Finland
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 25, 2009 Bottle. Hazy dark brown colour with a nice white head. Aroma is malt, banana and yeast. The flavour is banana, wheat and yeast with spicy notes. Not the best dunkelweizen I have had, but still quite tasty. MeisterBrew (138), Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 23, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy dark brown with a nice frothy white head. Aroma of spice, banana, and wheat. Flavor is much the same. Very tasty, but I was slightly disappointed the flavor wasn’t stronger. Still this is a very refreshing tasty brew.
