Deep and dark colored, cloudy with yeast. Brewed with a darker roasted malt which adds some maltiness to the refreshing flavour of the Hefe-Weissbier.

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2014 This beer was surprisingly inexpensive for a beer of this quality, $3 for a bottled pint, in PA. Pours with abundant head, but foamy head dissipates quite quickly leaving a beer with little carbonation. If you want carbonation, I recommend not pouring it and drinking from the bottle. I tried this as an experiment and this beer really retains its carbonation this way. Complex aroma, but relatively light-bodied, bordering on thin. Aroma of bananas, grape, perhaps some apple, paired with nutty tones. Lightly sweet, with little bitterness and thankfully, little sourness as well. A very pleasing beer!

I had bottled, ’imported’ version, purchased in Alma Poland for 1.5 eur. Very tasty. Before this one I had Franziskaner Witzen Kristallklar and Dunkel is much better. Foam not too strong. Rusty colour. In taste Hefe, caramel and suprisingly nice sour. Will come back for sure

Rich, dark, choco;ate aroma with a smooth finish. possibly one of Germany’s most velvety beers ever produced. Deep rich wheaty overtones and lasting finish! Great!

Bottle, pours cloudy brown with high white head. Aroma of banana, bread, yeast, caramel, dar malt and some ester notes. In taste light sweetness with some sour aftertaste. Very nice Weizen.
