Aroma is similar but appearance is a lot darker brown than normal. Mouthfeel is smooth and consistant with the regular brew. Flavor is more sweet and a little more malty. A great brew but I would probably stick with the regular if I had my choice. cheeta (904), Langå, Denmark

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 18, 2006 Pours hazy dark into the glass with a decent head and spiderlacing. Aromas of banana and clove. Banana from the beginning of the pull through the finish.... also some hints of clove are nice. The smooth yeasty finish compliments the overall pour. Not bad. eboats (901), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

A sweeter beer with cloves and slight banana taste. Smooth with the bite you find at the end of a hefe. Boystout (900), Chisinau, Moldova
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 29, 2003 Amber brown and cloudy with nice looking thick head. Spicy and fruity aroma with hints of dark candi sugar. Interesting malty/caramelly/banana flavor. A bit strange rendition of the style. dkoonce (899), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 23, 2009 Not great - not horrible. It’s good to see what a Dunkelweizen ’should’ taste like, not what our opinion of them is. Pours a dark brown with white head. Aroma is bananas, with a touch of must. Not overly sweet, but with a clove note in there. Finishes on a clean note. HighGravity (891), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
