Feb 27, 2004 Updated: Feb 21, 2008(Bottled) Hazy dark amber with a large, foamy-wobbly head. Dryish, quite banana-estery aroma with some breadiness and toffeeish, roasty malt. Bready-malty, dry-bananaish flavor with no bitterness and a smooth, mellow finish. Medium-bodied, high- but soft-carbonated palate. A balanced, very clean, very basic and true to the style Dunkelweizen. Not very complex or interesting, that is.

Jan 3, 2004 Updated: Jul 18, 2007Damn, I love beer. This is a beautiful sight ... roasty brown with perhaps the stoutest head I’ve ever seen. Nice clovey aroma. Smooth and crisp, roasty and yeasty without the bite that many weizen drinkers distaste. Awesome.

Dec 24, 2006 Hazy unclear brown with fine creamy lasting head. Sweet malty taste (roasted) and aroma. Yeasty - wheat. Banana. Medium body. Easy sweetness and light hops. Very pleasant!

Sep 26, 2004 Sampled at the Ludwig's Garten Oktoberfest party. Poured a cloudy reddish brown color with a large off white head and nice lacing on the glass. Aroma was sweet with banana and clove esters. Taste was roasty, yet at the same time sweet with more banana and clove. An average dunkelweisse.

Apr 16, 2006 Bottle. Dark brown colour with a beige head.Aroma is fruity banana with some cellar notes.The flavour is a combination of banana , yeast and some fruityness. Good banana and yeast finish.

Jul 18, 2004 Brownish color with a large head. Not a very enticing aroma: mild wheat, perhaps some malt. The taste is equally bland, but there was an unforgiving aftertaste about 3 minutes later. It’s as if the wheat turns bad as it hits your digestive tract.
