Deep and dark colored, cloudy with yeast. Brewed with a darker roasted malt which adds some maltiness to the refreshing flavour of the Hefe-Weissbier.

16oz bottle: Aroma is classic hefe with a bit of chocolate and a hint of banana mixed in. An interesting combination. Pours orange-brown in the glass with a tan head. Decent mouth feel, reminds me of normal dark beers. Definately a hefe for dark beer lovers.

Brown, cloudy pour. Aroma suggests faint traces of wheat, yeast and bananas. Taste reveals the same. Decent and pleasant to drink, but a little thin in taste. Overall drinkable.

Aroma of wheat, some malt, banana, toffee, yeasty notes. Flavour is moderate sweet with a slight bittersweet finish. A bit thin and watery. Smooth and pleasant if unremarkable Dunkelweizen.

On tap at Bavarian Bier Cafe, Gold Coast. Pours dark copper with a creamy head and hint of smokiness in the aroma. Strong malty taste with very little bitterness. It was interesting to try this side-by-side with both a dunkel and traditional German hefe.
