Now, this is beer! Germans should be proud for their skill in brewing one of the best beers in the whole world! Franziskaner is made out of wheat and thus is the cloudy consistency and unique flavor of this original beer. The Dunkel or Dark version is particular good. Much foamy and much clouder than the regular Franziskaner Weissbier.

Best beer I’ve ever had so far. However, I haven’t tried other beers of this brand YET.

Excellent dunkelweissen, dark color with nice malt taste, not too heavy. Easy to drink in at the bar or a backyard bbq.

This is a great beer with a true Bavarian Hefeweizen style. Great flavor and very rich!

Thanks to Salü in Wolfsburg, Germany! Cloudy deep amber coloring with a two fingers of head. Sweet, smooth, tasty. Easy on the palate. Easily has a taste of banana. In parts of Germany it is not uncommon for this beer to be drank with banana juice poured into it before being drank. Quite tasty.

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2012 0,5l bottle. A dark brown dunkelweizen with orange highlights. Good head. The aroma has notes of fruits, caramel, malts and spices. The taste is good balanced and quite tasty, with notes of fruits, caramel and malts. Long delicious finish. Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier Dunkel, is a really great beer.

First dunkel i have tried, and definitely one of the better beers i have ever tasted. Nice spicy taste like the regular hefe, but has an additional malty, caramel flavor. Loved it.

A really good one, little bit sweet on the mouth and easy all over else. Liiike it.

This is one ugly beer, but boy does it taste great. Hoegaarden wins the white wheat beer contest, but Franziskaner takes it in the Dunkel-Weisen category! Yummy banana and clove with toasty malt. I don’t know how they do it! A+
