Too fruity for me, I prefer a bolder hefe-weiss. Pleasently crisp though and very little to no after taste made this beer drinkable for me. I would not serve this with anything heavy or seasoned though.

Cloudy orange-yellow with a big white head. Yeast and orange aroma. Mild yeast and strong banana flavour. A good zesty and refreshing beer but with a short finish.

This beer brings back memories of the early winter beer gardens in Munich. Great big head with a golden color, has hints of banana and citrus. A wonderful weissbeer.

Pours a golden weisse, with a somewhat thick head. Aroma is pleasent of wheat and fruitiness, mostly banana. Palate is some of the same, though with emphasis on wheat.

1 pint 0.9 fl oz. bottle. Pours a hazy dirty gold with thick off-white head. Plenty of effervescence. Aroma is yeasty and of bananas and spices. Taste is surprisingly smooth. Still tangy though not as much as I expected. Very refreshing and crisp. Taste is spicy and fruity. Excellent.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2005 Tasted 05/03/2005. Batch L05441T. Green 330ml bottle from Regional Wines and Spirits. Pours a murky gold with a volcanic carbonation that fires clumps of yeast everywhere and lifts up a tumescent, stormy, off-white head. This collapses nicely after a few minutes. Nose is greeted with a punchy bouquet of banana along with a woody and spicey yeast (cloves, cinnamon). Mouthfeel is not at all watery (as I’ve come to almost expect from wheat beers). It is in fact quite creamy and releases a wheat and banana flavour with some yoghurty yeastiness. Little noticeable bitterness. Palate is left spicey and sweet with some alcoholic warmth. A top class wheat beer and a standard for the current kiwi wheat beer craze to aspire too. Shame about the new "export green" stubbie bottles.

This bottle is not very fresh, but even so... Aroma is bursting with bananas and yeast. Pours is an nice golden orange, cloudy and with lively carbonation speeding up to a white frothy head. The head is about and inch tall and maintains itself well. Taste is subtley sweet, yes - bananas, light but earthy grains, giving way to a strong yeasty doughiness. The sweetness is well balanced by a light bitterness. Smooth texture, body is thin yet somehow creamy. Some unpleasant metal after the swallow. Leaves your mouth feeling lubed. I find this beer really refreshing. I passed the best afternoon of the quarter drinking these with a buddy until dinner.

50 cl bottle. Served in Franziskaner glass. Cloudy yellowish. Big, stable head. Pleasant, fruity aroma and flavor. Lacks some depth. Easily drinkable, though.

Taste is smooth and again it reminds me more of a whit then a hefe, acid citrus is a bit dominant but is balanced quite well ... this is exceptional for the style and very easy to down a few kegs of

Poured from the bottle. A cloudy coppery appearance beneath a good full head. Loved the aroma, with banana and honey coming through. Tasted very bitter for a wheat beer (I’m not complaining) and was very smooth over the palate. Would be the best wheat-based beer I have tasted for a while.
