06 State College Brew Expo. Pours a hazy milky golden with a white fluffy head. Aroma of banana, citrus and wheat. Flavors of the same with more of the yeast in the flavor. Very solid Hefeweizen.

Hermosa corona, como para tomarle foto, precioso color oro a la vista, olor agradable y sabor bastante bueno. Va bien con un piqueo salado, para matar la sed, para refrescarse, para relajarse...buena cerveza!

Picked up a few bottles for cultivating a yeast sample for a hefeweizen. Slightly cloudy, golden yellow. Large, fluffy head with long retention. Wheaty, citrus, malty in the nose. Crisp on the tongue, with straightforward wheat and bread. Mineral and banana notes in a medium finish.

One of the better Hefeweizens I’ve tried, with a nice, cloudy yellow-brown color and complex flavors to boot.

Aroma is refreshing with an orange color. A smooth taste with a little spice (cloves). One of my favorites!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dingy orange color with foamy white head. Aromas are a bit metallic at first (like a Becks or Heineken), but wheat/yeast comes through strong as time goes on as does a slightly spicey air of cloves. Flavor is light and cloves and yeast come through strong as does a bit of a lemon/grass undercurrent. Subtle, yet complex.

Bottle, 50cl. This one is a classic! Clear brown and hazy with a huge (and i really mean huge!) tan head, mostly lasting. The aroma is really pleasant with notes of wheat and yeast. The flavour is very light and dominated by wheat and yeast, almost with no hops. Crispy and refreshing. A true reference for all other Hefeweizens.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2007 (Bottle BBE 05/2008) Banana, yeast and wheat-like aroma. Yellow brown colour, hazy/murky (sedimentation in the bottle) and white, large head with fair lacing. Banana, lemon, acidic, slightly soar and yeasty flavour. Lively carbonated, slightly sticky and medium to full-bodied palate. One of my favourite Weizenbiers. 02/07/07
