Medium gold color. Large head. Aroma is malty with a hint of bananas. This is a nice medium bodied weiss beer. Malty and wheaty, slightly sweet. Mild banana and clove flavor. Soft and slightly spicy. An excellent example of a German Wheat, Smooth. Light and refreshing. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. Wonder why I kept passing this beer by on the shelf.

Very good, beginning with a pleasant aroma of herbs. Light golden color, great white head (as it should be). Round, full, long lasting taste. Excellent aftertaste, not too acidic.

What can I say that hasn't already been said. Excellent example of the style. Nice citrus flavor, without being overpoweringly so.

Although I am not a wheat beer fan ths was quite good and what I would imagine a good wheat beer to taste like. Decent head which lasts for a little while and decent carbonation. Typical murky golden/orange color as in wheat beers. Strong aroma of wheat and yeast from the start. Strong taste of wheat and yeast with a little bit of spices and a hint of iron. Smooth and creamy and finishes slightly sweet and hoppy. A very good wheat beer by most standards and should be definately tried if you like the style.

The Franziskaner brewery can trace its roots back to 1363, over a 100 years before Columbus bumped into a large rock he called America. That's a long time. A very long time. Weisbeer has been produced in Germany since 1520, despite breaking the Purity Law. That's only 28 years after the discovery of America. That's also a very long time. Gee. What else can I say?
