4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This hefe weizen poured a hazy amber color with a full head and nice lace. The head diminished quickly, but the carbonation kept coming to give it a fresh bite throughout. It has a fruity smell (bananas), yet tastes more citrus. The taste was smooth with a biting finish. This hefe weizen is refreshing and lively.

(on bottle)Strange roasty notes with the sents of Brussels sprouts. Very full mouth of yeasts and whiped-cream-likefullness. (The mates tells me that the Brussels sprouts are still there, but I don´t think so)Very good carbonation and a good, wheaty finish.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poura a nice cloudy orange with a big lasting head. Aroma is very creamy and yeasty. Flavor is like a nice fresh batch of banana’s. I also get lots of yeast and a very bitter flavor like lemon. Very smooth and drinkable and probably one of my favorite hefe’s.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUL 31, 2005 From a bottle at Yeoman’s Road Pub in Tampa. This is one of my favorite Hefeweizens. Pours a beautiful hazy golden color. Ample head and a hearty yeasty aroma. Tastes like liquid hay. Earthy and substantial tasting in the mouth. Extremely drinkable.

Probably would enjoyed tthis more if Bennigan’s had anything close to proper gassware to show the head. Lots of fruit in the aroma. Crisp flavor that paired well with the fish, lots of the banana and clove characteristics in this one/

Was able to get a hold of some fresh bottles, and Spaten’s weiss is best of the Munich brewers save Schneider. Nice banana, phenolic and fruit aroma. Perfect thick white head. Very smooth finish that’s wonderfully refreshing. One of the best.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
thick white head that stays well. Pours a cloudy gold color. it has a spicy pepper taste mixed with some banana and prune. It goes down smooth and has kind of a yeasty, bread-like finish. An enjoyable spicy beer.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Smells sweet, bananas, pours dark hazy gold with frothy white head. Tastes only mildly bitter and like bananas. Has longer finish then I would have liked. Goes down and feel pretty good. Overall not bad, but to me not much different than the Sam Adams one. This is probably due to the fact that I don’t like this type of beer all that much.
