On tap at the Lowenbrau Keller in the Rocks, Sydney. Like the beer my review is going to be a bit clouded. Simply because this was free, one fifth ofa very nice and gratis tasting tray. I don’t really have to be too worried about giving this a fairly positive review because any beer that is sitting on an 88 percentile after nearly 600 reviews must be pretty good. Great presentation in the glass with a good cloudy body and bleach blonde head. Ample cloves, banana and other wheaty esters are present. the flavour is crisp and dry with a very pleasant palate. A shame the weather is turning colder as this would be an ideal summer sipper.

UPDATED: JUN 6, 2005 Typical cloudy amber (apple cidery) color. Decent white fluffy head with decent lacing. Fruity esters, with a medium bodied mouthfeel. Slightly sweet and slightly bitter. I will imbibe this one again because it is one of three decent beers that I can get here in Mississippi! Also had this on tap, and I remember the bottled tasting much better than the tap.

On Tap. Thin whiteish head. Aroma-not much from what I would have expected. Color-cloudy straw/gold. Nice palate, interesting taste, bananaish. Better than average Hefe-weissbier.

Light, cloudy golden color with a fluffy white head. Aroma of banana and clove. Flavor is dominated by banana with a spicy clove finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Light and very refreshing.

Fine meringue-like head smells mainly of esters. Light amber color with slight cloudiness. Overripe banana notes behind fresh wheat malt, like a liquid banana bread loaf. Plenteous fine carbonation gives this a light finish, along with some yeast-induced sourness.

Hazy golden-yellow color. with a dense white head that sticks around until the end of the beer. Yeasty aroma with a hint of banana. It has a refreshing creamy mouthfeel, With mild banana and a hint of spice flavors. A good Hefe, but not a great Hefe!

Bottle. Stand back, this head knows no limits. Stayed till the end and left a beautifully intricate belgian lace. Nose was sweet but not cloy, a little dreamy and very enticing. Tasted slightly sweet with a bitter touch, while also being spicy and dry. Well balanced and a nearly perfect amalgam of flavours. Add a solid mouthfeel and a thrilling finish and this was one top drop.

Spritzy refreshing wheat with strong fruit (lemon and banana) notes. Very creamy texture. Long lasting head. Strong suggestion of cut grass in the aroma. Very nice brew.

Yeasty aroma and almost ridiculously large and fluffy head. Sour citrus flavors. Not a bad beer at all, but you can get better hefes.
