Although I am not a wheat beer fan ths was quite good and what I would imagine a good wheat beer to taste like. Decent head which lasts for a little while and decent carbonation. Typical murky golden/orange color as in wheat beers. Strong aroma of wheat and yeast from the start. Strong taste of wheat and yeast with a little bit of spices and a hint of iron. Smooth and creamy and finishes slightly sweet and hoppy. A very good wheat beer by most standards and should be definately tried if you like the style.

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2005 Golden and cloudy. Scent of citrus and banana. White head that lasts a long time and coats the glass. Sour, fruity. Refreshing. Finishes slightly sweet. Became sweeter as it warmed

The Franziskaner brewery can trace its roots back to 1363, over a 100 years before Columbus bumped into a large rock he called America. That's a long time. A very long time. Weisbeer has been produced in Germany since 1520, despite breaking the Purity Law. That's only 28 years after the discovery of America. That's also a very long time. Gee. What else can I say?

A pretty strong wheat in this one, but nothing spectacular by any measure. A little too light for my taste.

Yeasty, banana aroma. Refreshing beer! Tasty nice yeast flavours but otherwise a bit light in taste department. A bit acidic.

The old standby for me. Used to love it, burned out on it, and now love it again. Not my favorite hefe, but it's up there. I think the spice (mostly clove) and citrus are more apparent than banana. Nice head, light color

Solid, but unexciting weissbier. Light banana in scent and flavor. Large fluffy head. Opaque light brown color.
