4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 soulrefugee (46) - USA - JAN 21, 2006
I don’t have all the adjectives to explain it, but its really great. I think the banana flavor comes through, but there’s just something about this brew that makes it consistently excellent everytime I try it. When I am confused about what I should buy, I always seem to be able to fall back on this. Its not always cheap though. Its often around 7.99 USD per six pack, which isn’t horrible, but not exactly a bargain price either. Once I had to have an opportunity to get it on draft, and it was incredible. It was a wedding reception with a free bar, so I kept coming back for more and more and more till I was hammered, and it kept tasting great, but the point is, this is what I kept coming back for, and didn’t want anything else once I had figured out that this was the ultimate, that is, when it was draft.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 JStax (837) - Devola, Ohio, USA - JUN 2, 2012
Poured from a bottle into a weizen glass. Pours a nice, golden, sunflower color. Hazy beer with a large, white, cloudy head of foam. The aroma is lovely banana and clove esters with some orange thrown in the mix. Taste is just a touch sweet and on the verge of tartness, without actually stepping over that line. Finishes light and bready. Impressively long finish. The only downfall of this beer is that it’s taken me so long to try it. Glad I finally did. This is a fantastic beer!
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 nittanytide (148) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 1, 2012
Poured cloudy golden-orange, with a big, foamy head. Aroma is oranges and sweet citrus. Taste is smooth and fruity. Orange is apparent, with a little bit of lemon rind hidden in the hop profile. Great hefe!
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 dreamflower (197) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - MAY 31, 2012
The head is nice and fluffy and white. The aroma is sweetly appealing. The palate is lively, but not quite a tasty as some other hefeweizens I enjoyed, but it was an older bottle. Still, a very good beer.

Tap. Hazy golden pour with a froth of white foam. Aroma is banana and clove with a soft, wheat malt backbone. Taste is clean clove with light banana followed by some pepper and wheat. Quenching and clean mouthfeel. Man, I need to drink more hefes.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Scipio (189) - Vernon Hills, Illinois, USA - MAY 26, 2012
Pours the expected golden with the good white head as is the standard of this style. Aroma is of banana, wheat, and a bit of orange. Aroma is the same, mostly banana and wheat. Pretty crisp, but a little more bland if anything. Not as good as my previous beer rated 15 minutes ago, but similar.
