I don’t have all the adjectives to explain it, but its really great. I think the banana flavor comes through, but there’s just something about this brew that makes it consistently excellent everytime I try it. When I am confused about what I should buy, I always seem to be able to fall back on this. Its not always cheap though. Its often around 7.99 USD per six pack, which isn’t horrible, but not exactly a bargain price either. Once I had to have an opportunity to get it on draft, and it was incredible. It was a wedding reception with a free bar, so I kept coming back for more and more and more till I was hammered, and it kept tasting great, but the point is, this is what I kept coming back for, and didn’t want anything else once I had figured out that this was the ultimate, that is, when it was draft.

On tap, pours an orangey-golden translucent glass with a nice full head of foam. Very drinkable, lighter than others in the same style. Crisp mouthfeel with high carbonation. Generous bready flavour with a spicy hint but fades to a slightly watery finish. Could stand to be brewed to 5.2 to 5.4 abv for better flavour. A good safe bet for Weiss.

Pours a cloudy orange body with a huge, white, long-lived head. The aroma is strong and true to the style, with plenty of hefeweissen yeasty banana, spices and citrus in the back. The strong flavour is a perfect mix of slightly overripe banana, citric crispiness, dry chalky yeast and caramel sweetness. The taste is light to moderate sweet and any bitterness is well hidden. It’s pretty light-bodied and the carbonation is lively. Brilliant!

Clear pale straw-gold with huge fluffy fine off-white head. Smells lightly spicy, bready yeast, banana and clove. Taste is similar. Slight sourness and finishes quickly. Body is very light but with a slick texture and average carbonation. A drinkable if not exceptional Hefeweizen.

500ml bottle into a weizen glass. Aroma: banana, cloves. Taste is similar. A great beer and a fine example of the hefeweizen style.

Hazy straw colour with a lasting white head. All the classic weissbier features - yeast aroma, flavours of orange, banana, clove, bread, bubblegum. Light bodied, but the spice presence stops the finish from seeming watery, as it can with some of this style. So, no surprises, but a very good example of the style.
