taunusmies (230), Finland May 6, 2007 Pours hazy and orange colour with a big fluffy head and some sediment. Yeasty aroma has wheat, banana, citrusfruits. Mouthfeel is quite biting a first but softens when the beer gets a bit warmer. A very tasty weissbier indeed.
larsga (2326), Oslo, Norway Oct 14, 2008 Medium offwhite lasting head. Opaque orange body. Light mealy bananaish aroma. Taste is very light, again mealy banana with chalky notes. Light, clean palate, soft mouthfeel. No separate aftertaste. It’s OK, but very boring. (0.5l bottle, ICE train Berlin-Leipzig, Germany.) Rciesla (910), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Oct 14, 2008 Bottle Pours a golden body with a 3 finger white head. Notes of clove and spices, fruity esters of banana and citrus. Enjoyed this even more with a twist of lemon. tedovertu (134), Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA Oct 13, 2008 Great Hefe. Aroma of banana and clove. Medium murky amber\brown color. Extremely pleasant appearance and good mixture of flavors. On par with Ayinger. oteyj (346), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA Oct 13, 2008 Pours hazy yellowisih amber with minimal head. Aroma is loaded with citrus and yeasty spice. Flavos is much the same- an excellent citrus flavor with great balance and yeast character. Palate is thick for a hefeweizen. Nice one. nbutler11 (223), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Oct 10, 2008 Pours a cloudy light orange color from the tap with a trim white head. Smells of lemon and faint banana with heavy flavors of wheat, citrus, and breadcrust. Quite possibly the standard for this style.
