The appearance is wonderful...what a beut in the head department!!! the smell is similair to bananas and cloves., odd, but still great, and the taste is sweet and full that hints of the style, this beer has made me like wheat beers again! joergen (8714), Frederiksberg, Denmark

The heads on the Franziskaner range are always formidable and last longer than Wagner’s Ring cycle. This one is no exception, and it’s as kristall-klar as you’d expect for the style. Lovely bananas’n’cream aroma with classic clove notes and some nose-prickling pepper. Very true to style. The flavour mix is more of the same - mashed banana, bubblegum and some clove bite to the finish. It’s quenching, with some late lemon candy sourness. The carbonation is a little hard for my taste but that’s a minor criticism. Overall, a very good kristallweizen. (500ml bottle from Camperdown Cellars, Darlinghurst.
