Lager color. Lively carbonation. Nice foamy and steady white head. Strong banana aroma. Hefeweizen banana flavor, crisp carbonated mouthfeel. Refreshing but I like Franziskaner unfiltered hefeweizen more.

Pours pale yellow with a huge foamy white head. Mad bubbles swirling for a long time. Aroma is spice and ripe banana. Flavor is malty, sweet with a nice banana hit. Finish dry, tart and crisp. Not too carbonated. Light body. A very nice Kristall.

Huge soapy white head. Body is straw, see through and very carbonated. Aroma is yeasty. Flavor is soft. Yeast and clove are present. Faint bitterness at the end.

Bottle from Rai Wines, Birmingham. Wheaty, sugar puff aroma. Fizzy yellow appearance, with a loose, bubbly head. Nice bubblegum flavour to kick off with, though things become blander in the finish, and I'm left with a watery, metallic wash. Big and bouncy in taste, though rather soft and flabby in mouthfeel. This lacks the bite and refreshment which should be provided by this style, and the end I was becoming overwhelmed by unbalanced sweetness.

Well, Spaten holds as being my first in almost all styles to have come from Germany, but those other than in Bavaria. enjoy the slight sourness and all the other elements of this. Need to throw back into my rotation of beers to have now and then as it had been a while.

This was unimpressive. I think reglar ole spaten premium is preferable over this. Surprisingly watery and foamy and blah...

Quite pale lager color, big foamy head. Yeasty citrus aroma, not as strong as in the hefeweizen. Sweetish banana flavor with a bitter finish. More harsh, watery and carbonated palate than in the hefeweizen. Kristallklar clearly cries for the missing yeast. This is what you get for removing the most important ingredient from a weizen.
