Beautiful golden blond with a powerful white head. The beer permeates malt along with a citrusy and hoppy hint into the nose. My mouth was filled with more malt but the citrus and hop seemed non-intrusive. Finishes smooth but leaves a slightly bitter citrusy taste on the tongue. Not bad and worth trying.

Another fine German Wheat brew. It poured a large white head. There was little lacing on the sides of my glass. Carbonation could be seen rising to the top. It had a smooth taste to it which is what I really enjoy. This is a brew that I would enjoy drinking on a good night.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUN 4, 2003 This brew pours a large head of fine to medium sized white bubbles. It has a transparent light orange color and some carbonation rising from the glass. Its aroma is a mild hoppy aroma. I sensed a mild fruity flavor with a hint of fizz in the after taste. All-in-all it is a very nice drinkable brew.

It was Budweiser yellow, that sort of turned me off, but I forged ahead regardless. In the glass it was (yellow) crystal clear w/lingering head. Smelled sweet and hoppy with some citrus aromas. Flavor was malty, with a lightly bitter finish. Light taste, no depth to the flavor, but it's not unpleasant.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very clear, light yellow hue. Smells like lemons and light orange, yeasty. Smells are very crisp. Smooth on first sip, and quite a bit heavier than it looks. I enjoyed this one more than the dunkel. Flavors are middle-of-the-road and slightly sweet. Nothing outstanding, but not upsetting.

Considering one can commonly find it at Safeway, the Club Weisse upholds a high level of quality.
Frothy, pillowy head, medium-sized bubbles, persistent and white. Active and persistent carbonation.
Light golden in color, no haze. Typical banana aroma, not cloying.
Tart flavor spectrum; distinct lemon peel. Also banana/bubblegum. A strange metallic
dryness nicely balances any residual sweetness, though it is a bit strange.

Light straw color with a touch of haze and a typical white head. Over ripe banana aroma. Sweet wheat flavors with a heavier ester presence. Just not not sit that well.

is a huge, frothy puff of a head a good thing? i dunno, but this beer had the major pillow puff on top of the clear golden bubbles. and i do mean bubbles. like watching a champagne glass. surprisingly strong yeasty/banana aroma. i quite liked it. and the flavor was nearly an exact duplicate of the scent -- only with a bit of a dry aftertaste and somewhat watery body. i liked this better than franz's regular hefe.

Beautiful foamy white head over a golden brown body. Very good wheat beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clear dark golden color not unlike MGD with a creamy white head. Yeasty, banana, estery, doughy aroma. Sharp acidic, fruity, spicy taste. Not as attractive looking as the hefe version but quite tasty.
