Nose is mild banana, sweet clove and hints of baker’s yeast. Taste is mild yeasty tones, banana, hints of pale malts and grains. Full body, sparkling carbonation. Boring but OK; I’d rather have the regular hefeweizen from Franziskaner any day.

Cloudy orange and tawny colored pour. Big, overflowing off-white head. Big banana and yeast aroma. Malt and banana flavor. Slightly sweet. Pretty good.

Very interesting Weissbier! Full Weissbier flavor with some interesting herbal and citrus flavors. Not my favorite, but something different to try!

Bottle, pours clear gold with a huge head and aromas of banana, spice, bread and faintly peach. Flavour is typical Kristalweiss - more bread and fruit, slightly sweet yet with a faint tartness too. Decent body with golden fruity malt and more banana and spice coming through on the finish. I’m not sure what’s meant to be Royal about it!

Bottle. Pours clear golden with abundant and rather stable white head. Clear aroma of hops, grain and malt. Sweetish flavour, nicely replaced towards by the bitter, hoppy finish. Good, creamy mouthfeel. A good hefeweizen.

Dorée claire avec juste un fin trouble foin, col blanc moyen.
Profile reste typique du style, pointe d’ester fruité léger girofle.
Vraiment pas eu l’impression d’être en relation avec une Hefe surtout en connaissant la version habituelle.

Thanks to Martinus for sharing this one. 50 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBWG 2013. Pale light golden with a white head. Smells of sweet citrus, clear banana, sharp,… Tastes is with sweet banana, cloves, soft wheat, some sugar sweetness, yeast, touch grains,… Easy to drink, a fine hefe. As to the bread that Martinus made with this beer, soft, full, yummy and went well with the beers & funny shaped :)

Sampled from bottle @ RBBWG 2013. Lightly hazy yellow color, small white head. Smell malts, a bit sweetish. Taste malts, lightly grains, lightly sweet. A bit sticky and dry texture, medium body and carbonation. Not bad actually.

Named "Royal" but in my opinion an average Weissbier. Not really anything critical, but not so special as it seems.

Clear golden yellow with small white foam head, lacing to glass. Aroma is good weizen style, citrus. Taste is also same as most weizen, don’t detect anything special, still good beer. Short dry aftertaste. (Velp 201212)
