Bottle 500 ml, neck wrapped in red/black foil, at home, poured into a big weizen glass. ABV 6%
Very hazy amber orage coloured beer, with its intense activity still visible. Almost three fingers of off-white head, very thick and soapy, with great retention, leaving light lacing on the glass.
Aroma of ripe bananas, clove, yeast, fresh boiled wheat.
Lots of clove and soices on the taste, wheat as a reference, bananas both ripe and fresh on the finish, very nice!
Medium thick body, good carbonation.
Overall a very good hefeweizen, I didn’t mind the amounts of yeast, very drinkable.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy golden / orange colour, big lasting head. Nose is dominantly banana and some spices.
Taste is spices, banana. Certainly a very decent beer, but somehow this is just not my style of beer. Still have a second bottle in the cellar, maybe a second test is needed?

Poured into a Sierra Nevada & Dogfish Head IPA glass (blasphemy? I don’t think so) from a bottle. Deep golden orange mahogany color with a frothy, creamy head with both medium sized and very small, fine bubbles with no problems staying above the glass rim.
Aroma is cloves, banana, spicy, some floral notes, figs, a touch of apfelstruddel.
Taste: fruity, spicy, some maltiness (caramel).
Palate: medium body, proper carbonation.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A brown, slightly yellow beer, a head is light beige and big. The aroma is rich but also fresh. Wheat, bananas, some lemon and spices. Taste of strong wheat, sourness, some bananas, spices, also some dark toffee. Richer than typical hefe, smooth, strong carbonation, quite long end. Succesfully Royal. Hefe with darker nuancees and also quite complex.
