Almost clear golden colour with a smal white head. Banana and wheat aroma. Rich wheat and banana flavour. Fresh and nice! But unusual clear body. Nice round texture. [Bottle. Trade with Grima]
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jaghana (2821) - Strasbourg (France), FRANCE - AUG 4, 2012
Bottle 50cl, a light cloudy yellow beer with medium creamy head. Nose is medium fruity, aroma is on banana and low malty, dry and very less and creamy and with relatively low flavors, near to a kristallweizen, bit disappointed.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ClubGonzo (2687) - Bergen, NORWAY - SEP 21, 2012
Bottle, shared at VANØ Bergens summer tasting. Pours a hazy blonde body with a big cloudy white head. Nose is mild banana, sweet clove and hints of baker’s yeast. Taste is mild yeasty tones, banana, hints of pale malts and grains. Full body, sparkling carbonation. Boring but OK; I’d rather have the regular hefeweizen from Franziskaner any day.

Bottle: Aroma of banana, citrus, wheat and yeast. Flavor is light fruity, wheaty and remarkable bitter. Quite overall wheat.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 durhambeer (2394) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - APR 15, 2012
My friends went to Germany and said they bought me the most expensive beer in the beer store. This, apparently, was that. I take it home and drop it at soon as I enter my kitchen, and beer begins squirting out of the cap as the clock turns noon on a Sunday. I frantically open the bottle and hefeweizen is geysering out of the bottle, spraying about four feet in every direction as I put my hand over the bottle. Rookie move. I get about half of it into a glass. The beer? I can’t say I can tell a huge difference from their regular hefe. Perhaps a bit lighter? Wheaty and slighly lemony. A bit of bananas. Pretty light and slighly hazy pour. Huge white head when you drop light I did, but it resulted in a flattish pour. Light and refreshing. A good beer to drink at noon on Sunday right before you take a mentally handicapped person to go see the Three Stooges remake, which is what I did.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 kiwianer (2309) - Mönchengladbach, GERMANY - DEC 10, 2012
The head is ok, the body blond. The taste is yeasty, a bit fruity-citrus. To much yeasty-flat. Medium 11/9/10/10/10/10
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 77ships (2144) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JAN 20, 2013
Thanks to Martinus for sharing this one. 50 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBWG 2013. Pale light golden with a white head. Smells of sweet citrus, clear banana, sharp,… Tastes is with sweet banana, cloves, soft wheat, some sugar sweetness, yeast, touch grains,… Easy to drink, a fine hefe. As to the bread that Martinus made with this beer, soft, full, yummy and went well with the beers & funny shaped :)
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Bierkrug (1919) - Idar-Oberstein (In Iraq), Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - OCT 29, 2011
UPDATED: NOV 7, 2011 500 ml bottle picked up at the Toom Market in K-town. Pours a slightly hazy yellow orange color. Has a very full massive bright white head the is too perfectly uniform. Aroma is the bananas and bubblegun as expected. Taste is a bit lite and weak for a perfect Hefe. Palate is weak and smooth. Not bad but not as good as their normal beer either dispite all of the hipe on the bottle.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 POLK (1884) - Hørning, DENMARK - MAR 7, 2012
A bit boring wheat beer when you know what this brewery else can do. Filtered wheat beer no thanks.
