Bottle (purchased at the Brauerei): Golden, a bit unclear, grainy to herbal-medical nose; medium-sized, lacy white head; moderate bitter-sweet flavour; slightly lingering bitter-sweet finish. O.K., but not very Pilsner-like....
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Maria (8586) - Thisted, DENMARK - FEB 21, 2012
It’s hazy golden with a white head and the aroma has notes of malt, bread and light butterscotch and flower. The flavor has a light sweetness and the same notes as the aroma - just like in the Hell, I love the bread notes.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 MoritzF (7402) - Bochum, GERMANY - AUG 14, 2010
(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Slightly strawy malty and herbal, slightly spicy hoppy aroma with a tinge of draff. Moderately bitter flavour with a light but rounded malty sweetness, light to medium bodied with a crispy carbonation. Soft pale malty taste with herbal hoppy accents; bitter-sweet, slightly draffy and herbal hoppy finish. As all of the Betz beers this one is not a world-class gem but is very suitable as a decent and solid session beer. 14.VIII.10
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 bierkoning (8109) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - SEP 8, 2004
The brewery almost looks like a ruine, but beer is still brewed (for how long ?!). Creamy head. Hayaroma. Barnyard. Hopbitter, oily, hay-like flavor. Apple and orange. Rather a dirty aftertaste, but the pils has lots of flavor and is not without some quality.
