3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 tommeagher (222) - Jersey City, New Jersey, USA - JUL 3, 2010
A deep, clear, caramel color makes you expect this to be a light brew. But instead, its taste is heavier than you would think. It has a chocolate or coffee taste with a hint of bitter that’s unique for an ale. It’s strong but with a very subtly sweet undertaste. A clever, complex ale from this Lawrence, Kansas brewpub.

Given to me from Dansting, Caddylac, TimmyK and the crew from Kansas- Thanks boys!!
Pours a dark brown colour with a very small head. Aroma is nice, plenty of nutty character, some caramel and roasted malt. Flavour was incredible smooth and biscuity. Thought it might be a heavier amber first, but now by the description it makes sense that it’s more of an Alt. Rich and balanced, soft little hop finish. Nice beer!
