I’m becoming increasingly impressed with this little midwest brewhouse. Vibrant copper pour with small off-white head. Big thick earthy grapefruit aroma. Tastes of hop resin, sap, grapefruit rind and pine cone. Has an almost fresh hop feel to it. Smooth, almost chewy. Perfectly bitter. Good stuff.

One of the best Free State has to offer. Nice balance of sweetness, hops, and malt. I highly recommended trying.

Bottle from UncleMike in LoCaLs swap, thanks! Pours orange gold with an offwhite head that recedes quickly to the edge of the glass and sticks there. Aroma has mango and pineapple. Fairly easy to drink for a double IPA. Pale malt backbone with some juiciness up front and resiny hop finish that coats the tongue.

The beer pours to a hazy caramel colored body with a creamy white head. The aroma is hugely hoppy The flavor is hugely toasty, nice sweet maltiness, the hops are apparent, but not the main part of the taste. Smooth light resiny mouthfeel.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
2013 bottle to a Dogfish Head IPA glass. Pours a clear golden orange color with a small frothy off-white head with moderately sticky lacing. Aroma is mango, pine, sweet malt, a little cat pee and some rubbing alcohol. Taste is apiney and grassy hops bitterness at the front, a little malt sweetness in the middle and a solvent like bitter taste at the end. Seems a little off balance in the taste, even for an imperial. Medium dry mouthfeel.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
A honey amber body supports a fading off-white head leaving small spots of lace; Big dankness controls the nose and flows into the flavors with pumped up pine, mango and pineapple on a somewhat sticky medium body drying out and revealing a clarified burst of bright tropical fruit notes with solid duration; with warmth, the tropical characteristics become more evident in the initial flavor profile
