COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
While walking through a field and enjoying a lazy summer evening, our head brewer Steve stepped on a stick that popped up and nicked his leg. Or so he thought, until he found two puncture marks on his ankle. The copperhead bite may have caused a trip to the hospital for Steve, but it also provided just the inspiration he and Chuck needed to name their new beer – yep, one lowly snake in the grass is the namesake of one of our most popular beers.

Draft in a sampler at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy amber color with a finger of off-white head that leaves a sheet of lace in the glass. Aroma of citrusy and grassy hops, caramel malts, and some grapefruit peel and floral notes at the end. The flavor follows mostly the same lines- grassy hops, grapefruit, caramel, and straw. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a bitter, citrusy mouthfeel. About in line with the Endeavor, but I preferred the Lovejoy to both.

Debatable about this one being APA or IPA in flavor profile and ABV/IBUs. Somewhat light-bodied for the style. Some bitterness is there, but bready malts as well. Solid, but not great.

Bottle from RobertDale - thanks. Pours a clear copper with a fluffy beige head. Aroma is mild with bready malts and modest floral hops. A little citrus and caramel come through in the taste with more floral hops. Medium intensity. Nice.

csaso (1404) - Missouri, USA - APR 4, 2012
Bottle - average size foamy head, medium copper color, nice piney hop aroma and flavor, fair malt backbone - not the strongest IPA in terms of hops, but not bad, pretty well balanced

Not to bad. Medium hop decent body, not compex on the flavor, could use some spicing up.

On tap at the brewery. Lots of nice floral notes on the aroma. Pours a very clear pale, beautiful. Very bitter finish. Not getting the c-hops on this....but i am from the Left Coast so maybe i expect too much! solid.

12 oz bottle. Pours golden with a small white froth. Aroma is sweet and Carmel with a noticeable piney and earthy hoppiness. Flavor starts sweet but quickly picks up the herbal piney hop character before a lightly bitter finish. Medium body and a crisp carbonation.
