COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Eccentricity (Barrel-Aged Belgian Wheat). The new beer is called eccentricity and while it is quite strong (9.95% abv) it is not hoppy at all. This is a strong Belgian Golden Ale aged in whiskey barrels for 2 years. The keg that’s going on tap today is from a barrel that also had some cherry juice added to it.

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2009 Tap @ FS, pours a darker than expected cloudy amber color with a nice off-white head that persists, great lacing. Aroma of light oak, bourbon/whiskey, orange peel and light spice. Flavor has good belgian wheat qualities, but with subtle overtones of the barrel-aging coming along nicely. Overall, this is a very well balanced and complimentary BA beer, not overdone or heavyhanded. Looking forward to trying again with the local cherry juice blend, and seeing what the other Eccentricity BA series surprises will be! Thanks for spicing up the summer Free State! 9/4/8/4/17=4.2
