Pours a hazy brownish red with a medium creamy off white head that laced. Aroma of floral, citrus and piney hops. Lots of caramel/nutty malt notes in the nose. Flavor of piney and citrusy hops, caramel, molasses, dark fruits and nuts. Reminds me of Stone Double Bastard.

Great stanky sock, citrus, and coffee(?) aroma. Bitterness explodes after first taste. Dark amber coloration.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
10 oz draft pour at the Brew Pub in Lawrence, Kansas. The pour is darker copper, reddish, and some tannish brown. The head is a well formed tan. The aroma is grassy, resin, bitter hops along with a natural fruit sweetness, though the sweet is certainly behind the hops. The taste is the bitter grass hops, along with a fruit citrus hop as well as a malt sweetness that reveals some alcohol heat, though its decently integrated. Palate is medium bodied, very dry finish, some of the alcohol heat pokes through in the finish giving it a warming character. Interesting beer, I am sure they had fun brewing this.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
10oz glass pour at the brewpub on the day of the tapping for this collab. Comes to me with a thick head. The body is dark red in color and dark enough to create ow clarity. Aroma is all hops, bitter hops, grassy, fruit punch, and sweet hops. Flavor is super bitter and lots of mango coming from the hops. Has a long dry and bitter aftertaste with the malt character pretty much a second thought but does not get in the way.
