Growler purchased on Dec. 6, 2008 and drank two days later. The body is cloudy medium gold with a long lasting bright white head. The aroma is nice grapefruit and fresh baked bread. There is also some good fresh cut green wood. The taste is medium orange peels and grass. There is also some Russet potato skin. Overall, this is a very solid, highly hopped APA. Nicely done.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2011 Citra version
10oz long thin tulip glass. Beer pours beautifully with a frothy head and a definitely unfiltered, dark orange color that allows little clarity. Aroma is fresh and crisp with tangy, light, citrus hops. The hops are accompanied well in the flavor with a malt backbone that is present but does not get in the way of the hops. Goes down easy.
German Norther Brewer, similar score, the floral/herbal hops work well with this malt bill as well.

Draught at brewpub. Orange hue. Nice floral aroma. Solid hoppy presence. "This is good," I said. Very enjoyable.

Growler, filled about 3 weeks ago - from csbosox. Pour is golden tan with a very hazy, cloudy unfiltered look with a tan one inch off white head. Active carbonation. Decent lacing as head falls quickly. Aroma of fresh clean resin pine hops. Some slightly toasted maltiness present as well. Nice fresh hop nose. Taste is is the resin, malt and pine in that order. The finish features a bit of cardboard and bitter orange peel. Palate is medium, again very much an unfiltered experience. Overall a tasty brew. Thanks for picking this one up for me Chris.

Ahtanum version.
Appearance: Pours a hazy, dark gold body with a small, creamy white head.
Smell: Heady aroma of grass and lemon zest citrus notes as well as some sugar-encrusted pale malts.
Taste: Pale malts start with a taste of sweetened lemon juice. Grass follows quickly with a medium bitterness. The bitterness ends abruptly allowing some subtle hints of sweetened citrus to return for the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Very slight stickiness to the mouthfeel.
Drinkability: It’s hard to be smarmy with a beer like this in your hand.

Growler thanks to csbosox: Pours a hazy copper orange with a thin, spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of fresh citrusy grapefruity hops and some semi-sweet pale malt. Body starts with a nice mild sweetness and good fresh citrusy hoppy balance before a crisp, bittersweet finish. A very drinkable and well-flavored APA. Thanks Chris!
