Though this brew features an English Malt variety new to us (Optic), this beer’s focus is its massive hop additions. (Hops + Optic = Hoptic, duh.) Galaxy hops get top billing, while Crystal and Centennial take substantial supporting roles. This beer was dry hopped twice for maximum hop flavor and aroma. The Optic provides a neutral background, pushing the hops further to the forefront. This beer should hit a nerve with the malty set out there, but the hopheads will rejoice. The Bottom Line: A crisp, dry, medium bodied ale with substantial bitterness and hop flavor.

Draft. Golden body with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma of citrus, lemon, pine, raw grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Some floral notes in the flavor along with lemon, resin and leafy hops. Bright citrus on top of pine with a light lingering bitterness.

On tap at the brewpub. Comes golden orange with a nice off-white head. Aroma of pine and citrus. Taste is pine, citrus, and a touch of malt. It is dry and crisp. Very nice.

Medicine jar at Parkville from Free State and then a 10oz pour t the brewpub. Color is dark orange, amber, copper. Aroma is strong on pine first, then some sweet and bitter hops. Flavor follows suit. Just a very cool hop beer. Fresh ass hops with a low malt factor. Something about it just rocks pretty well.

Pours a translucent golden amber with a medium creamy off white head that laced. Aroma of fresh hops, dank and resiny, pine and orangey hops. Flavor of pine, citrus, weed...very dank. Bitterness is spot on for what I like. Hits you but doesn’t linger. Has that touch of caramel/Munich malt I have come to expect from free state beers. Even the dry and hoppy ones.
