American two row and English Maris Otter malts combine with a modest helping of English crystal malt to provide a light, slightly nutty backbone for this straw-colored, light-bodied, hoppy Session Pale Ale. Citra hops added at the end of the boil (hence the name-Late Addition)and during conditioning (dry-hop)provide a soft bitterness and deeply tropical fruit aromas and a fine citrus flavor.

On tap at the brewpub. Starts with a delicious (but not too bitter) Citra presence, then backs off to the nutty, biscuit-y malt that characterizes many Free State beers. Session PA full of flavor = a big win for Free State. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pint on tap. Golden-amber with a lasting film of cream. Nose is resin, citrus and caramel with a touch on honey. Tastes of citrus, green herb, resin, toast and caramel. Light-medium body has medium carbonation with a nice sessionable balance. Definitely woulda had another but I wanted to try some of their other brews.

Squealer from the brewery. Clear, light gold color. Hoppy with herbal and citrus mix. Flavor is similar but a soapy yeast aspect takes away from the clean, bright hops.

32 oz growler shared by beastiefan2k, filled earlier in the day. The pour is clear golden with a small white head. The aroma is floral fruit. The taste is a bit catty, resinous and clean. The palate is light bodied with soft to low carbonation. Solid, thanks for grabbing this Eugene.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2014 Aroma of sweet, honeyish malt, vivid apricot and citrus, very fresh and aromatic. Clear medium golden in color with a slight head. Flavor profile is fairly malty, floral and sweet, with faint tropical fruit and peach, finishing with a tinge of bitterness late. Mild but tasty.

Pours a mostly translucent golden amber with a medium bubbly white head. Aroma of fresh Citra hops, lots of orange zest and tropical fruit notes, a touch of caramel and Cheerios. Flavor of grapefruit, orange zest, tropical fruits and honey nut Cheerios. Well done session pale ale.
