COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Full body and a well rounded flavor comes from a foundation of seven different grains. The oats add a special silky texture that complements the roasted malts. The rich malty flavor is spiced with plenty of Northern Brewer and Fuggles hops for balance.

Rich coffee aroma with hints of dark chocolate. Deep, clear, dark, reddish brown. Nice lace at the start. This brew is a little confused. Nice roasted malt flavor, but a little overly harsh. I suspected that this may be from higher than average alcohol for the style? But at 6.1%, it’s probably not that. Fairly good balance. Very good, not great.

The best stout I’ve ever had. So much better than Guinness and cheaper too.

Nose is roasty malt, milky sweetness, coffee, light chocolate. Great dark malt character in the flavor with serious roast & cocoa. Pleasant bitterness.

I had this in Swanee Kansas last night, and it was great. A really fresh batch, too. Pours a deep black with a small dark head. Smells of wheat, hops, coffee. Tastes very refreshing. Mildly bitter, coffee, hoppy, some raisen. Goes down smooth and leaves no aftertaste. If you like oatmeal stouts at all, you’ll love this one! Great beer.

UPDATED: SEP 3, 2010 Aroma seemed subdued-licorice and molasses.molasses, roasted malt and chocolate. Body was a bit thin and flat.

Has a mildly spicy bitterness and is nicely balanced--not too sweet or bitter. It does feel a tad thin to me, but overall this is a fine brew.

Bottle. Poured a jet black color with a nice tan head. Aroma was roasted malts, malts and coffee. Mild bitters. Bitter aftertaste. Good beet.

(12oz bottle). Pours dark brown with khaki head. Aroma of cocoa, dark fruit and caramel. Also, a little roasty coffee notes. Taste is sweet with a little roasted bitterness. Thin to medium bodied with a creamy texture and slightly bitter finish. This is a nice stout and one that I would gladly have again.

Deep, fluffy sweet stout smell, with rich, smooth taste, a great balance of sweet darker malts and just enough hops to not leave a sticky aftertaste. Also, no citrus detected, like in those awful hoppy porters some guys like. Snickers bar-ish sticky velvet mouthfeel, although not very thick in body. Mmmmmm, YUMMY. What else there to say? Good stout!!
