2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Look: Nice. Good white foamy head.
Smell: Strong piney hops. Getting a sense Iím going to be bowled-over.
Taste: Tastes like it smells. Strong hops up front, little substance otherwise.
Feel: Somewhat dry.
Overall: Iíve tried many examples of this style, but the problem Iím having is consistency. Hop content varies so much from beer to beer within the style that itís hard to get a grip on what an American IPA is. Iíd probably put this with Dogfish Headís 90 Minute as a DIPA. Needs more character to be an AIPA, IMO.

On tap at Q39 in KC. Clear bronze appearance with a lacy white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, floral notes and toasted grain. Similar flavor, adding a moderate hop bitterness and light malt sweetness. Pretty average for an IPA, not bad overall.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
The beer pours a very clear light orange color with a medium white head that fades quickly. The aroma blends light malts and resin hops, and the taste is mildly bitter and a touch sour with an aftertaste that is grassy in addition to resiny. The palate fuses a medium-light body, lively carbonation, and a slightly sticky texture. Overall, the beer is one-dimensional, and that one dimension isnít that great.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Deep golden color with a bit of a haze. Creamy eggshell head. Soft citrus hops nose. This is an easy drinking hop forward beer with a bit of a bite. Bready malts with strong orange peel, red grapefruit juice and some tangerine citrus notes and a strong grapefruit rind bite in the finish. Interesting take on the IPA.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
From the bottle, the pour is clear, light orange with a quickly dissipating head. The aroma is hops a little skunky hops, but no overly distinct flavors. The taste is crisp not over hopped, but bitter. Not a lot of depth to the beer, just primarily hops and water and very little malts at all. Mouthfeel watery. There is an lingering bitter after taste.
