Eh. Just a plain old average wheat beer with too much hop flavor. Too bitter for my liking in a wheat beer. Pale yellow color, not much of a head. It was an okay drink for a thirsty spell, but wouldn’t drink otherwise if I had a choice. Go with Ad Astra Ale or even a Copperhead Ale if you want something nice from Free State.

12oz bottle, purchased from Lukas Liquor in Missouri during my RBSG stay. Notches on the label indicate that this is best by the fifth week of August. Mostly clear golden color, with a slight orange hue. Thin off-white head. Decent loose bits of lace. Fades to minimal eventually. Medium body. Kind of crisp, light soft, lightly abrupt lighter carbonation. Kind of slick finish. Some orange citrus lightly spicy flavors, wheaty bready malt. Moderate sweet taste, light to moderate bitter. Kind of a light funky cheapish lagery taste. OK kolsch.

Light with a lemony sweetness. Slick body with a sharp hop aftertaste. One of my least favorite bottles from Free State.

Light, easy drinking beer dominated by lemon and grain flavor. This would be great for someone just getting into craft beer.

Bottle, thanks Russ! Wheat malt aroma followed by notes of caramel and hops. Pours golden colored with a bit of cloudiness and a light, white head. Wheat flavors with a touch of caramel to start followed by a smooth, dry finish with a bit of hops. Good, refreshing beer.

This is a good lawn mower beer but not much to it. Clean but not much flavor. Had in Lawrence.

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2013 I enjoyed this beer. I was on the hunt for one from my home state and was not disappointed. Has slight fruity taste. Wheat flavor is spot on. It?s a crisp brew on hot days in kansas.
