Very nice hoppy ale. Refreshing on a cold winter night. Nice nutty aroma, smooth IPA finish.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Fantastic fruity and floral nose. Pale amber in color, murky/hazy with visible particles of yeast floating though out (that does not bother me, it might turn off someone who wasnít already into craft beer I guess), Low carbonation and had a thin head which dispersed quickly. Hops provide some bitterness and grapefruit notes, but are not at all overwhelming, and balanced well by the subtle malt backbone. Tastes a bit like Tallgrass 8-bit, but slightly less bitter.

I love the aroma of galaxy hops. Tropical candies aroma with some citrus that comes through in the flavor as well. The taste is a bit too sweet in my opinion for an IPA, but its reddish brown appearance and medium body are very appealing.

Pours a deep, clear amber with moderate head, mostly diminishing. Very nice on the nose - citrus and pine with grapefruit being quite noticeable. Well-balanced IPA with a good, bitter finish. A great effort from the brewers at Free State - Prost!

Bottle @ home, courtesy of jcnielsen. Thanks Jetson! Pours a clear, rust orange appearance with a light brown head. Super spicy, piney hoppy, fairly resiny, caramel malty, sticky aroma. Sticky resiny hoppy, big piney/grapefruity hoppy flavor with just a mild bitterness and light sweetness. Tasty brew!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clear amber beer with a short lived sticky off-white head. Fresh, bright orange hoppy nose with some pine and resin. Lots of fruity flavors in here with manderin orange, tropical fruits, apricot jam and red grapefruit. This beer is dominated by the hops with a long, pinching bitter finish. This is a nice big hop head beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a mostly translucent golden copper with a medium bubbly/creamy off white head. Aroma of fresh citrusy and floral hops with a touch of caramel malt. Great nose. Flavor of orangey hops meet Munich malt with a touch of caramel. Dry, yet great body. Excellent "winter" IPA.
