COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer began as an Imperial oatmeal brown. Free Willís brewer liked it but felt it either needed to be toned down, or have something added. One Village espresso roast coffee was cold-brewed, Kimberton brand coffee, added after fermentation and magic was born.

Itís OK. The coffee is strong, but good. I think this beer is actually a nicer coffee than it is beer...the quality of the coffee is high, the beer itself is nice, but the coffee overwhelms any beer that is present and makes it more like an alcoholic coffee shop drink. Which, is cool, but not necessarily the best beer thing.

Pour is a clear caramel brown with a small amount of tan head. Nose is slightly overly roasted coffee, roasted malts, faint sticky caramel, a bit thin. Taste is the same, it has a bit of a cola flavored coffee, overly roasted malt, a touch acrid, moderate bitterness, overly carbonated and stings the throat.

Draft at smiling chameleon. Pours dark brown but has a thinning hairline if you know what I mean with a really thin khaki head. Leaves trace lacing in the glass. Has some solid coffee notes on the nose. Definitely get the coffee on the tongue. Thereís a little slickness on the tongue but the oatmeal seems to come out bigger if the beer is served on nitro which this one wasnít. Didnít get a lot of the brown ale element. Finish lingers a bit. Eh!

nice mouthfeel real liquid and smooth with a little syrup. good stronger flavor of coffee with the cream and sugar and bit of roast, yet still beery enough and not all hoppy or malty to as if a mish mash brew. bit of vanilla rum in the flavor mostly alcohol and perhaps almond.

Draft at RR. Pours slightly opaque brown with little head that fades quickly. Aroma is brown malt and coffee grinds. First sip is sweet like the last sip of coffee with sugar, mild unmalted barley with a mild bitter finish between the hops and coffee. Nice beer

Pours amber/brown with a small tan head that quickly dissipated. Aroma is espresso, dark chocolate and roast. Taste is sweet with moderate coffee bitters. Medium bodied, some warming on the finish and oily texture. Very solid.

Sample at GABF 10/04/2014, thanks to my BIL for assistance with note-taking. Clear amber-brown color with a thin light beige head that recedes steadily. Strings of lace. Aroma of coffee and malt. Medium body with flavors of roasted coffee, malt and slight fruit. The finish is roasty with a coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.

This one poured a medium brown with a beige head. Aroma was of.coffee, and caramel. Flavor similar, fresh big coffee. One dimensional but tasty.

Bottle as an extra. Pours a clear reddish brown with absolutely no head. Aroma of coffee and grape skin. Taste is slightly bitter, nutty aftertaste. Medium mouth feel but low carb. Poured flat.

12 oz bottle from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. This is one of the best browns youíll find anywhere. Donít miss it if you find it in your neck of the woods.
