Tasty coffee beer - more brown ale than stout. Somewhat thin in the mouthfeel. Lots of coffee finish and flavor.

12 oz bottle from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. This is one of the best browns you’ll find anywhere. Don’t miss it if you find it in your neck of the woods.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a deep ruby red with a thin off white head. Aroma is heavy on the coffee with some malt. Taste is the same - very bitter coffee taste with a dry finish. If you're a fan of coffee, you'll love this one.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Has to be a top rankimg beer again. Only coffee tastes more like coffee. Deep and almost imperial style in flavor. Bitter notes as if biting in the beans themselves.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
8oz pour at Al’s of Hampden pours a clear amber with zero head. Nose has all coffee, mild caramel, brown sugar, but just lots of Folger’s. Flavor has more sugar than the nose lets on, caramel, brown sugar and... coffee. Some rootbeer too. Sweet finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap. Pours a ruddy brown color with a medium white head. The aroma is big malty aroma with huge coffee. This is a great beer: massive coffee, milky, big grains, oatmeal, light toast. Great.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a caramel-brown color with a medium sized foamy beige head faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was brewed coffee, a bit of vanilla, malty and somewhat sweet. The flavor was bad brewed coffee. Other flavors tried to come through but kept getting squashed by the overbearing bad brewed coffee presence. Unfathomably long finish - which in this case was not a good thing. Medium body. Not good.
